Perhaps Arman Tsarukyan’s post-wrestling match brawl at RAF 06 won’t hurt his chance of getting a UFC title shot. This past weekend, Tsarukyan returned to the mats under the Real American Freestyle banner and took on Georgio Poullas.
Their contest turned ugly as Poullas, instead of wrestling, was busy landing hand strikes, slapping Tsarukyan, and eye-poking the Armenian.
In Round 3, Tsarukyan, who was up in the scorecards (5-3), stuffed a takedown in the last seconds. When the final buzzer sounded, the UFC fighter pushed his opponent down and punched him in the face, after which both corners entered the mat area and started a full-blown melee.
