Clemson Routs La Salle in Run-Rule Victory

CLEMSON — Jarren Purify and Jacob Jarrell each had home runs, while Nate Savoie had a perfect day at the plate and drove in three runs, as No. 10 Clemson run-ruled La Salle for a second straight day, 16-4.

The win was the Tigers’ six straight overall and their third against La Salle in the four-game series. They swept Saturday’s doubleheader, including a 6-4 victory in the first game on Saturday.

Clemson (14-1) led from the outset in the second game, getting three runs in the first, two in the second, three in the third and eight in the fourth inning.
